Primabond 97™ is a fifth generation
multipurpose bonding agent which combines primer and adhesive into a
single component for ease of application.
Primabond 97™ is compatible with all common
dental etching materials and forms an excellent bond with dentin and
enamel, any self-cure or visible light-cured Composite, Compomer
restorative material and with Composite Resin Cements.
Key
Features :
Enhanced
strength, over 20 MPa shear bond strengths to moist dentin
A
SEM investigation of Primabond 97™
demonstrated that a continuous acid resistance zone was formed around the
periphery of the restoration. Resin tag penetration into the dental
tubules extended as far as 50 µ .
The interface between the composite resin and the Primabond 97™ treated
teeth, was gap-free and a uniform and consistent hybrid layer was observed
between the adhesive layer and the dentin substrate.
In the U.K. two clinical studies were performed, in which more than 1000
restorations were placed utilizing the Primabond 97™ bonding agent.
Those studies concluded that the material was easy to handle and that no
clinical failure was exhibited during the study.
Total margin integrity
Etching not obligatory
for dentin bonding
Friendly and
technique-insensitive working procedure
Can be used as a
protective varnish for hyper sensitive cervical areas
Available also with
Fluoride release
Primabond
97™ was evaluated in the U.S. at the Creighton University Dental
School, which is one of the most prestigious institutes for testing dental
materials, and was found to deliver more than 20 MPa shear bond strength
to dentin.
The measured film thickness was 10 µ .
